Creamy Garlic Chicken

Prep Time: 10 Minutes Cook Time: 20 Minutes Servings: 2-4

Ingredients:

1-2 chicken breasts from The Old Fashioned Farmstead, butterflied

1 cup flour for dredging

1 tablespoon olive oil

2-4 tablespoons butter divided

1 whole head garlic cloves peeled

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 cup heavy whipping cream

salt

fresh ground pepper

fresh herbs (if desired)

Directions:

-Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper then coat them in flour.

-Heat oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over med-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the chicken and cook until golden brown. This will take about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove chicken from the pan.

-Reduce the heat and add the rest of the butter and garlic cloves. Cook the garlic until it is browned on both sides. Feel free to add some other goodies like mushrooms and onions during this step.

-Add the chicken broth and lemon juice and cook until it is slightly reduced, about 4-5 minutes.

-Stir in the cream and add the chicken back to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and chicken to finish cooking.

-Let cool for a couple minutes and enjoy!
